Hello gorgeous!
This post has been on the top of my list because I always get loads and loads of questions on my ask.fm asking me about my skincare routine, how I keep my skin fairly clear and how to get rid of acne so I thought it was about time to share my skincare routine with all you girlies struggling with the burden that comes with puberty.
*Disclaimer: I have normal-to-combination skin*
Face Wash:
Soap & Glory Clarity Face Soap |
The little beads in this face wash makes for a mild exfoliator which is of course, a plus!
Moisturizer:
Day Cream:
L'Occitane Ultra-Matte Face Fluid |
I was introduced to this product by my sister & I'll never go back.
It also has a faint smell of Johnson's baby powder which also attracted me to it..
Night Cream:
Soap & Glory Night in Shining Armour |
Eye Cream:
Soap & Glory Super Eyes, Super Eyes |
Just like night cream, an eye cream isn't an important step in your skincare routine, especially at a young age but I unfortunately suffer from extreme puffy eyes in the morning and this helps to minimize puffy eyes and dark circles.
Other:
Bioderma Cleansing Water(Sensitive skin) |
My Zit-Zappers That I Swear By:
Soap & Glory Dr. Spot |
Tea Tree Oil |
Tips for Beautiful, Clear Skin:
- A healthy diet. What you eat reflects on your skin so refrain from fried foods, foods that contain very high amounts of sodium, excessive amount of sugar and well, junk food.
- Rose water. Rose water cured my horrible allergies on my face in around 5 days! I used to put a fair amount on a cotton pad and clean my face thoroughly with it 3 times a day.
- Water is crucial. Not only for your health in general but for your skin. It clears your skin & gives you a healthy glow. 8 cups a day is ideal(2 Litres).
- A fixed skin care routine. Don't switch up your skincare routine very often, try to keep it for the longest period of time possible(if it's doing good for your skin, of course) but if you're like me and you get bored easily, switch it up every 2-3 months.
- SPF. Protection from UVA & UVB rays is VERY important and I cannot stress it enough. Use at least a SPF 15 everyday, even if it's a gloomy day.
- Free yourself from stress. If you're a very stressed person, then it'll surely reflect on your skin in a negative way. Free yourself from stress by setting a to-do list, meditation, hot baths & showers, and reading.
- Vitamins. I recommend taking COD Liver Oil capsules once a day for your skin, hair & also, nails!
I really hope you found this post informative and take some of these tips into consideration!
